At Talkdesk, we are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer II to serve as a high-impact technical leader responsible for translating our Agentic AI platform into transformative, production-grade solutions for strategic enterprise customers. You will be a unique blend of highly experienced software engineer, technical project lead, and hands-on builder who owns technical execution for deployments, mitigates technical risks, and drives successful customer outcomes. In this role, you will act as the technical lead for complex AI agent deployments, designing architectural blueprints for solutions while managing cross-system dependencies and ensuring enterprise-grade security and scalability. You will write production-grade code, leverage Talkdesk and third-party APIs/SDKs, and drive execution from prototype through production deployment. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted technical expert for customers, addressing deep technical inquiries and building credibility with customer engineering leadership. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, influence product roadmap direction through deployment learnings, and shape the future of Customer Experience Automation. Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for complex AI agent deployments and design architectural blueprints for solutions
- Manage cross-system dependencies and ensure designs meet enterprise standards for security and scale
- Write production-grade code and leverage Talkdesk and third-party APIs/SDKs to design, build, test, and deploy AI agents
- Drive execution from prototype through production deployment, ensuring technical quality
- Serve as a trusted technical expert for AI solutions and address deep technical inquiries from customer executives
- Mitigate technical risk and build trust with customer Engineering Directors and technical architects
- Synthesize deployment learnings into reusable solution patterns and tooling
- Provide actionable feedback to core Product and Engineering teams to inform future product direction
- Mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers and technical specialists on best practices
