Join Talkdesk as a Forward Deployed AI Product Manager (FDAPM), serving as the connective tissue between healthcare system clients and engineering teams. This unique role blends product management, implementation consulting, and pre/post-sales engineering expertise. You'll be embedded with health system customers to deeply understand their workflows in areas like patient access, care management, and revenue cycle, then translate those insights into AI-powered solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

You'll own the full lifecycle of client engagements—from structured discovery and workflow mapping through pilot deployment and go-live support. This includes defining bespoke AI workflow solutions, creating specification artifacts for engineering handoff, managing stakeholder relationships at the C-suite level, and building ROI proof points that support expansion and renewal. You'll act as the voice of the customer in internal roadmap discussions, identifying patterns across deployments that can be productized into reusable features.

If you have healthcare technology experience (ideally from Epic Systems implementations) combined with a passion for AI and automation in healthcare, and you thrive in ambiguous, high-impact environments, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of AI-driven healthcare operations while working with leading health systems across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary product point of contact for health system client portfolio, operating as trusted advisor embedded in their workflows
  • Lead structured discovery engagements including interviews, workflow mapping, shadowing, and document analysis to surface automation opportunities
  • Define 'art of the possible' for each client, connecting operational pain points to AI platform capabilities
  • Own relationships with clinical informatics, IT, operations stakeholders and C-suite sponsors at client sites
  • Translate real-world workflows into structured product and configuration requirements
  • Design bespoke AI workflow solutions in collaboration with Forward Deployed Engineers, Applied ML, and Solution Engineers
  • Create and maintain solution design documents, workflow maps, and specification artifacts for engineering handoff
  • Drive 0→1 deployments from pilot kickoff through go-live, owning timelines and change management
  • Define and track value metrics and outcome frameworks in partnership with clients and customer success
  • Run structured pilots, capture learnings, and manage iteration cycles to production-ready deployments
  • Support expansion and renewal conversations by building ROI proof points and case-for-scale narratives
  • Identify patterns across deployments and translate client-specific configurations into reusable product features
  • Act as bridge between field deployments and core product roadmap, surfacing high-priority gaps
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, playbooks, and templates to systematize the FDAPM practice
  • Collaborate with FDEs, ML engineers, and product leadership on design partner to product motion
