Join Talkdesk as a Forward Deployed AI Product Manager, a unique hybrid role combining product strategy, technical delivery, and client partnership. You will serve as the connective tissue between healthcare system clients and engineering teams, spending meaningful time embedded with customers to understand their workflows and translate those insights into AI-powered solutions. This role is ideal for professionals with Epic implementation experience who are passionate about product and AI in healthcare.
In this position, you will lead client discovery engagements, design bespoke AI workflow solutions, and drive deployments from pilot through go-live. You'll own the relationship with clinical informatics, IT, and operations stakeholders, while serving as the voice of the customer in internal roadmap discussions. Your responsibilities include translating real-world workflows in areas such as patient scheduling, referral management, prior authorizations, and billing into structured product requirements, and identifying patterns across deployments to influence the core product roadmap.
Success is measured by tangible outcomes: time-to-value for client engagements, pilot advancement rates, account expansion and renewal driven by documented ROI, and the quality of field insights you surface to product leadership. You'll operate at the intersection of healthcare operations, technology implementation, and AI innovation, requiring 5+ years of healthcare technology experience with hands-on exposure to provider operations and a demonstrated track record in client-facing delivery roles.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary product point of contact for a portfolio of health system clients, operating as a trusted advisor embedded in their workflows
- Lead structured discovery engagements including interviews, workflow mapping, shadowing, and document analysis to surface automation opportunities
- Define AI platform capabilities and connect client operational pain points to solutions
- Own relationships with clinical informatics, IT, and operations stakeholders at client sites
- Translate real-world workflows into structured product and configuration requirements
- Design bespoke AI workflow solutions in collaboration with Forward Deployed Engineers and Applied ML teams
- Create and maintain solution design documents, workflow maps, and specification artifacts
- Drive 0→1 deployments from pilot kickoff through go-live, managing timelines and change management
- Define and track value metrics and outcome frameworks in partnership with clients
- Identify patterns across deployments and translate configurations into reusable product features
- Act as the bridge between field deployments and core product roadmap
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases, playbooks, and templates
