Talkdesk is seeking a Strategy & Value Senior Consultant to join the Dallas-based Solution Engineering & Shared Services team. In this pivotal role, you will operate as both a force multiplier across the sales organization and a direct strategic resource on the company's most strategic deals. You will advise Account Executives on deal strategy, coach them on value conversations and proprietary modeling platforms, and lead pre-sales teams on complex, high-priority opportunities. Your responsibilities will span the entire deal lifecycle: from early-stage strategy advisory and stakeholder mapping to leading on-site business process discovery, owning formal business case development, and delivering executive-level presentations directly to C-suite economic buyers. You will develop deep industry-specific knowledge across customer experience, contact center operations, and AI-enabled automation to credibly advise senior leaders on where and how traditional automation, AI, and agentic AI create measurable business value. This role reports to the Vice President of Presales Strategy and Solution Engineering and works primarily across North American sales teams. You will build repeatable frameworks, coaching models, and value hypothesis templates that raise the baseline capability of the entire sales organization while personally driving impact on the company's most strategic and complex opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Engage early in the sales cycle as a strategic advisor to Account Executives, helping assess deal structure and develop winning approaches
  • Advise on stakeholder mapping, competitive positioning, and sequencing of value conversations to establish favorable evaluation criteria
  • Contribute to account planning, pipeline reviews, and deal qualification sessions with informed perspective on deal health and strategic risk
  • Guide Account Executives on cost-of-delay and cost-of-inaction framing to create urgency with economic buyers
  • Coach Account Executives on proprietary business case modeling tools for early-stage value hypothesis development
  • Review and provide structured feedback on Account Executive-developed value models and presentations
  • Contribute to repeatable coaching frameworks, value hypothesis templates, and discovery conversation guides
  • Lead on-site business process discovery engagements at strategic accounts through structured workshops and executive interviews
  • Map current-state processes across operational domains and produce prioritized inventory of value potential
  • Own end-to-end construction and delivery of formal business cases using proprietary modeling platform
  • Build models that withstand CFO-level scrutiny grounded in customer-validated data and industry benchmarks
  • Maintain and evolve vertical-specific benchmark libraries and value hypothesis frameworks
  • Lead design and delivery of executive-level business case presentations for C-suite audiences
  • Structure presentations as strategic advisory narratives positioned within customer's broader priorities
  • Anticipate and pre-empt executive objections through scenario analysis and risk-adjusted return modeling
