Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer with deep expertise in healthcare environments to drive business value for prospective and existing customers. This strategic role combines technical excellence with healthcare domain knowledge, requiring a seasoned professional who understands clinical workflows, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH), and patient engagement. You will be a thought leader who commands C-level discussions, accelerates deal cycles, and identifies revenue expansion opportunities across the healthcare sector. In this position, you will conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, design and deliver compelling presentations aligned to customer pain points, and scope customer implementations, pilots, and POCs. You'll work throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from pre-sales engineering to solution architecture and post-sale expansion, leveraging your deep knowledge of Talkdesk's AI-powered Contact Center and CX solutions. Collaboration with product management, engineering, and internal stakeholders will be essential as you translate customer feedback into product roadmap improvements. With 8+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in software, VoIP/telecommunications, or contact centers, combined with proven expertise in healthcare contact centers and regulatory compliance, you'll be equipped to deliver healthcare-centric consulting that establishes clear value and differentiation. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, combined with your willingness to travel 20-50% for customer meetings, will be key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research to prepare for meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors, and business challenges
- Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand needs and requirements, uncovering customer pains and objectives
- Specify appropriate solutions for customer needs using in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk capabilities
- Design and deliver presentations to customers (on-site and virtual) showing Talkdesk capabilities aligned to customer needs
- Generate value statements illustrating the financial value of Talkdesk solutions to customers
- Assist with scoping Statements of Work for customer implementations
- Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and proof of concepts
- Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map requirements to software solutions
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps
- Assist with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
- Travel 20-50% for customer and internal meetings
