Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer specialized in Healthcare & Life Sciences to join our Solution Engineering & Shared Services team in Philadelphia. As a strategic expert, you will understand the specific needs of healthcare organizations and provide business-driven consulting to both prospective and existing customers. This role combines deep healthcare industry expertise with technical excellence, requiring knowledge of clinical workflows, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH), and patient engagement to drive meaningful customer interactions. You will be a seasoned operator with 8+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in software, VoIP/telecommunications, or contact centers, serving commercial and enterprise customers. Throughout the entire sales lifecycle—from pre-sales engineering and technical qualification to solution architecture and post-sale expansion—you will conduct discovery conversations, design tailored solutions, deliver compelling presentations, and manage customer pilots and POCs. Your role involves collaborating with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback shapes product roadmaps. As a recognized thought leader, you will confidently support C-level discussions, accelerate deal cycles, and identify revenue expansion opportunities in healthcare. The position offers significant autonomy, the ability to drive meaningful impact, and the opportunity to shape the future of customer experience automation with a global leader recognized by Gartner and G2.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research to prepare for meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors, and general business challenges
- Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs, requirements, and pain points
- Specify appropriate Talkdesk solutions for customer needs and requirements
- Design and deliver presentations to customers (on-site and virtual) showcasing Talkdesk's capabilities aligned to customer needs
- Generate value statements illustrating the financial value of Talkdesk solutions to customers
- Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations
- Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and POCs
- Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map requirements to software solutions
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps
- Assist with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
- Travel 20–50% for customer and internal meetings
