Talkdesk is seeking a Solutions Engineer - Commercial to join our Solution Engineering & Shared Services team in Philadelphia. You will be a key technical resource responsible for understanding customer business environments and translating their needs into compelling Talkdesk cloud contact center solutions. Working with prospects and customers, you'll conduct discovery conversations, design customized presentations, manage pilots and POCs, and respond to RFI/RFP requirements, while maintaining deep knowledge of our innovative software capabilities. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between customer requirements and technical solutions, leveraging your expertise in software, VoIP/telecommunications, and contact center technologies. You'll collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback shapes our roadmap, and assist with marketing and demand generation initiatives. Your excellent presentation and communication skills will enable you to command attention in the room and clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to prepare for prospect meetings and understand their business environment, market, customers, and competitors
  • Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs, uncover pains, and gather information for value discussions
  • Specify appropriate Talkdesk solutions based on customer needs and maintain in-depth knowledge of product capabilities
  • Design and deliver presentations to customers (on-site and virtual) aligned to their identified pains and needs
  • Generate value statements illustrating the financial value of Talkdesk solutions
  • Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations
  • Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and POCs
  • Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map them to software solutions
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback influences product roadmaps
  • Assist with marketing and demand generation events as needed
