Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer specializing in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (FSI) to join our Solution Engineering & Shared Services team in Philadelphia. As an expert consultant, you will provide business-driven guidance to small and medium-sized enterprises, helping both prospective and existing customers understand the value of our AI-powered Contact Center and Customer Experience Automation solutions. You will be a seasoned practitioner with deep SaaS selling experience, engaging throughout the entire sales lifecycle from pre-sales engineering and technical qualification to solution architecture and post-sale expansion. In this role, you will conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs and pain points, design and deliver compelling presentations showcasing Talkdesk's capabilities, and generate value statements demonstrating financial ROI. You will work closely with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps, assist with scoping implementations, manage customer pilots and POCs, and respond to RFI/RFP requirements. Your deep industry expertise and ability to command attention in the room will help accelerate deal cycles and identify revenue expansion opportunities in the FSI sector. You will be recognized as a thought leader who confidently supports C-level discussions and serves as a trusted advisor to customers navigating complex technical and business challenges in contact center and customer experience solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to understand prospect business environment, market, customers, competitors, and business challenges
  • Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs and requirements for new solutions
  • Uncover customer pain points and gather metrics necessary for pricing and value discussions
  • Specify appropriate Talkdesk solutions for customer needs using in-depth product knowledge
  • Design and deliver presentations to customers (on-site and virtual) showcasing capabilities aligned to customer needs
  • Generate value statements illustrating financial value of Talkdesk solutions to customers
  • Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations
  • Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and POCs
  • Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map requirements to software solutions
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps
  • Assist with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
