Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to drive new business development and close opportunities within large retail enterprises. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, from initial engagement through deal closure, while fostering strategic relationships with key business units and decision-makers at the C-suite and senior management levels. You will develop comprehensive sales strategies tailored to your coverage model, leverage Talkdesk's innovative AI-first solutions, and consistently exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned sales professional with 8+ years of enterprise SaaS experience who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. You will work cross-functionally with Sales Engineers, Professional Services, and Executive teams to position Talkdesk's competitive advantages, manage complex deal structures, and build lasting relationships with enterprise customers in the retail sector. The role requires 50%+ travel and demands strong negotiation skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate market insights back to headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within large enterprise retail accounts and close deals
  • Expand company relationships with business units, divisions, and overall enterprise customers
  • Create and cultivate close relationships with strategic alliances
  • Understand customer business strategy and manage long-term, sustainable business portfolios
  • Manage end-to-end sales processes through engagement of Sales Engineers, Professional Services, Executives, and Partners
  • Present innovative ideas that showcase Talkdesk's competitive advantage
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop comprehensive sales strategies ensuring consistent achievement of short- and long-term objectives
  • Build lasting relationships with management, team members, and prospect/customer communities
  • Develop and own accountability for region's market segmentation and targeted accounts
  • Provide accurate and realistic forecast information to management
  • Communicate market reactions and customer needs to headquarters
  • Collaborate across functional areas to solve problems and support engineering priorities
