Systems Research Engineer - Software Engineer, Data and ML Infrastructure

Feedzai is seeking a Systems Research Engineer to join its Research team, which focuses on developing cutting-edge solutions for long-term, disruptive challenges in financial risk management. In this role, you will design and implement real-time Machine Learning inference systems capable of processing millions of events per second while maintaining low-latency and fault-tolerance guarantees. You'll define technical standards for cloud-native services, drive architectural decisions for ML systems workloads, and own services throughout their lifecycle following DevOps principles.

You will work hands-on across the full software development lifecycle, writing well-designed and testable code while leveraging GenAI-assisted development tools. This is an opportunity to combine research excellence with practical engineering, transforming state-of-the-art research into product requirements. You'll collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to build distributed systems supporting high-load operations 24/7, while also communicating findings through scientific papers, patents, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
