Farfetch is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Regulatory (APAC) to lead on regulatory matters across the Asia-Pacific region, including Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Taiwan, Mainland China, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic legal advice within a global, fast-moving luxury fashion marketplace. You will act as a true business partner, advising on local regulatory frameworks including payments, digital regulation, consumer protection, and competition law, while identifying and mitigating risks across multiple operational territories.

In this role, you will oversee payments-related matters, develop strategies for engaging with regulators, supervise local legal counsel (particularly in Mainland China), and build compliance processes and training across the Farfetch Group. You'll negotiate and draft commercial contracts, policies, and legal documentation, while liaising with external law firms in APAC. This position requires someone with strong professional ethics, commercial acumen, and the ability to quickly understand and apply international laws and regulations in a pragmatic manner.

Based in London's tech hub at Old Street, you'll work in a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days from home) within a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in both private practice and in-house settings, particularly within e-commerce or retail sectors.

  • Develop strategies for and engage with relevant regulators in APAC
  • Oversee payments-related matters in APAC, including reviewing contracts and cooperation with payment processors
  • Work with the delivery team on tariffs matters and advise from a legal perspective
  • Negotiate, draft and review a broad range of commercial contracts, policies, guidance, corporate documentation and other legal documentation
  • Build compliance processes, tools, policies and training to educate relevant parts of the Farfetch Group
  • Liaise with external law firms, primarily in APAC
  • Supervise and support local legal counsel, particularly in Mainland China
  • Support the Head of Legal, Regulatory and Group Legal VP on legal matters and compliance
