
Head of Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance

Farfetch, a leading global luxury fashion marketplace operating in over 190 countries, seeks an experienced Head of Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance to lead its compliance strategy. As a senior compliance leader, you will build and scale global programs protecting the company from regulatory, financial, and reputational risk across multiple high-impact domains including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), sanctions compliance, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) reporting readiness, and product-related compliance obligations. In this strategic role, you will design and oversee AML frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, manage global sanctions screening compliance with U.S., U.K., E.U., and other applicable regimes, and lead the organization's preparation for Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and ESG requirements. You will establish consistent governance standards, develop intelligence-driven monitoring programs, and provide strategic oversight across adjacent compliance domains including fraud-related controls and seller abuse prevention. You will work collaboratively across functions at senior levels, advising leadership on regulatory developments and risk exposure while operating effectively in a fast-paced, evolving global environment. Responsibilities
- Design and oversee AML frameworks across multiple jurisdictions, including Customer Due Diligence, Partner Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, and Suspicious Transaction Reporting
- Establish consistent governance standards, documentation requirements, and operational controls to ensure regulatory alignment across markets
- Identify emerging AML risk typologies and direct the development of monitoring rules, analytic methods, and escalation criteria
- Lead global sanctions screening for new and existing customers and ensure compliance with U.S., U.K., E.U., and other applicable sanctions regimes
- Oversee sanctions system configuration, alert review procedures, and escalation protocols to maintain screening accuracy and defensibility
- Provide guidance to business teams on sanctions implications for customers, products, and market expansion
- Lead planning and coordination for the organization's preparation for CSRD and related ESG reporting requirements
- Establish processes to collect, verify, and document ESG-related data across multiple functions
- Develop governance standards, reporting timelines, and internal guidance to support compliance with emerging sustainability regulations
- Provide strategic oversight across adjacent compliance domains, including Product compliance and INFORM Act obligations
- Support design and operation of monitoring mechanisms for fraud, seller abuse, or related risk indicators
- Advise senior leaders on regulatory developments, risk exposure, and control enhancements relevant to business operations
