Farfetch, a leading global luxury fashion marketplace, is seeking an Ethics & Investigations Principal to join its Legal team in London. This hybrid role is central to maintaining the company's ethical culture and ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization. You will manage all investigation-related activities, including fraud and financial abuse investigations, while maintaining the highest professional standards and proper documentation of findings.

In this position, you will develop and manage a robust case management system for tracking investigations, raise awareness of Ethics & Compliance policies across the organization, and lead the implementation of the Fraud compliance framework to meet UK Failure to Prevent Fraud (FTPF) requirements. You will also implement compliance declaration processes, conduct training for at-risk populations, and work closely with the Compliance team and business functions to ensure investigation action plans are properly executed.

You will be based in our Old Street office in London's tech hub, working in a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 days from home). This role requires strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and extensive experience in fraud investigations and forensic compliance work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all investigation-related activities including triage, prioritization, allocation, investigation, and escalation
  • Carry out fraud and financial abuse investigations and ensure adequate work papers and supporting evidence documentation
  • Develop and manage a robust case management system for tracking open investigations and updates
  • Raise awareness of Ethics & Compliance policies, Code of Conduct, and related standards among employees
  • Lead onboarding processes for new employees on compliance matters
  • Implement compliance declaration process and tools for new joiners and existing employees
  • Lead implementation of Fraud compliance framework to ensure UK Failure to Prevent Fraud (FTPF) requirements
  • Support wider compliance team with Anti-Corruption and related compliance initiatives
  • Provide timely feedback to Compliance team and business functions to address process gaps
  • Work with Compliance and business functions to ensure investigation action plans are implemented
