Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our Enterprise team in Salt Lake City. In this role, you will conduct research and discovery conversations with enterprise prospects to understand their business environment, challenges, and requirements. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk's cloud-based contact center solutions to design and deliver compelling presentations that demonstrate how our platform addresses customer needs, while generating value statements that illustrate the financial benefits of our solutions. You will work closely with customers throughout their journey, from initial discovery through implementation, including scoping statements of work, managing pilots and proof-of-concepts, and responding to RFI/RFP requirements. Your role will also involve collaborating with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback influences our product roadmaps. This position offers the opportunity to work with leading brands across multiple industries while building expertise in cloud-based telecommunications and contact center solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research to prepare for upcoming meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors and general business challenges
  • Carries out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs and requirements for a new solution
  • Uncovers customer pains, learns about customer's objectives and potential needs, and gathers metrics necessary for pricing and value discussions
  • Uses in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions and capabilities to specify the appropriate solution(s) for customer needs and requirements
  • Designs and delivers presentations to customers, on-site and virtual, showing Talkdesk's capabilities aligned to customer pains and needs
  • Generates simple value statements illustrating the financial value of a Talkdesk solution to customers
  • Assists with scoping Statements of Work for customer implementations
  • Scopes, executes and manages customer pilots and proofs of concept
  • Responds to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and maps said requirements to the software solution
  • Works closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps
  • Assists with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
