
Performance Analysis Specialist

EDP Renewables, a global leader in renewable energy and the fourth-largest wind energy producer, is seeking a Performance Analysis Specialist for its Houston, TX office. In this role, you will develop and monitor performance indicators to detect and resolve long-term issues related to the operation of wind, solar, and storage assets. You will perform diagnostics of detections, propose solutions in coordination with engineering teams, and manage the resolution of detected issues while communicating statuses with Asset Operations and Performance Management departments. Your responsibilities will include identifying key drivers of underperformance in EDPR assets, developing new indicators and detection methods, creating interactive business intelligence reports, and ensuring quality control of performance datasets. You will work collaboratively with global team members across North America and Europe, maintain relationships with Asset Managers and operating site managers, and conduct performance meetings with Field Operations. Additionally, you will program queries in SQL, PI, Azure databases, and Databricks to capture data for analysis and support supply chain strategy development. This is a full-time, hybrid position with approximately 10% travel requirements. Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor performance indicators to detect and resolve long-term issues related to wind, solar, and storage asset operations
- Perform diagnosis of detections and propose solutions in coordination with engineering teams
- Manage the resolution of detected issues and communicate statuses with Asset Operations and Performance Management departments
- Coordinate with global team members in North America and Europe
- Represent Operations in multi-departmental teams developing supply chain strategy
- Identify main drivers contributing to underperformance in EDPR assets
- Develop new indicators and methods for long-term issue detection and implement processes to improve detection accuracy
- Create interactive business intelligence reports to support monitoring efforts
- Manage detected issues to track resolution and added value
- Ensure quality control of performance datasets through manual and automatic verification
- Maintain relationships with Asset Managers and operating site managers
- Conduct performance meetings with Field Operations
- Program queries in SQL, PI, Azure databases, and Databricks to capture analysis data
- Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by Field Operations or other departments
