Software Engineer - Data Orchestration

Feedzai is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Engineering team and contribute to the development of the Feedzai Orchestration platform. You will work on challenging technical problems involving large-volume data processing, diverse data sources, and data orchestration and transformation. The platform serves Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Data Scientists, with a primary use case in Account Opening solutions that help financial institutions safely onboard new clients while protecting against identity theft, synthetic identities, and mule account fraud. In this role, you will iterate within an Agile squad to build scalable, high-performance microservices using Scala and other technologies. You'll own end-to-end solutions from backend APIs to frontend components, working across the full software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design teams, champion engineering excellence, and mentor peers. The team operates with a "you build it, you run it" DevOps mindset, taking ownership of development, deployment, and operations while driving a culture focused on automation, observability, and continuous delivery. You'll be part of one of the most talented engineering teams at Feedzai, working in a fast-paced, safe, and collaborative environment that encourages learning and discovery. With a valuation exceeding $1.5B and presence in 190 countries, Feedzai is transforming financial risk management through machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Iterate within an Agile squad to turn product ideas into shippable increments across the entire stack
- Write idiomatic, reusable Scala code covered by unit, property-based, and integration tests
- Deliver end-to-end solutions from building APIs to frontend components
- Operate across the full SDLC—design, implement, test, deploy, observe, maintain and refine software services
- Collaborate tightly with Product & Design to translate wireframes into accessible, performant interfaces
- Champion engineering excellence by documenting decisions and mentoring peers across domains
- Participate in guild sessions and knowledge sharing activities
- Develop high-performance, concurrent services and APIs
- Work with modern data and messaging platforms at scale
