Energy Management Analyst

EDP Renewables, a global leader in renewable energy and the fourth-largest wind energy producer, is seeking an Energy Management Analyst to join our Global Energy Management team in Houston. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and maintaining market-relevant data to optimize short-term asset performance for EDP assets across North America, while supporting trading and hedging activities. You will contribute to developing price forecasting models, creating scheduling strategies for renewables, and communicating market insights to drive informed business decisions. You will work with cutting-edge tools including SQL, Power BI, and Python to develop models and applications that convert data into actionable insights. Your responsibilities will span multiple areas including energy sales optimization, congestion management, futures transactions, and project assessment. You will also support the development of automated applications for Energy Storage Systems bidding, assist in investment analysis and project pricing, and help structure complex Power Purchase Agreements in compliance with ISO/RTO/Exchange rules.
