Talkdesk is seeking a Healthcare & Life Sciences Solutions Engineer to join our Miami-based Solution Engineering & Shared Services team. This is a strategic role for a seasoned expert who understands the specific needs of healthcare organizations and provides business-driven consulting to both prospective and existing customers. You will bring deep experience in healthcare environments—across providers, payers, or digital health—combined with knowledge of clinical workflows, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH), and patient engagement. In this position, you will engage throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from pre-sales engineering and technical qualification to solution architecture and post-sale expansion. Your responsibilities include conducting discovery conversations with customers, designing and delivering presentations showcasing Talkdesk's AI-powered Contact Center and CX solutions, managing customer pilots and POCs, responding to RFI/RFP requirements, and collaborating with product management and engineering teams. You will be a recognized thought leader who confidently supports C-level discussions, accelerates deal cycles, and helps identify and expand revenue opportunities in healthcare. As a Solutions Engineer at Talkdesk, you will work in a dynamic environment that values innovation, accountability, and speed. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to prepare for meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors and general business challenges
  • Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs and requirements for a new solution
  • Use in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions and capabilities to specify appropriate solutions for customer needs and requirements
  • Design and deliver presentations to customers, on-site and virtual, showing Talkdesk's capabilities aligned to customer pains and needs
  • Generate simple value statements illustrating the financial value of a Talkdesk solution to customers
  • Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations as needed
  • Scope, execute and manage customer pilots and POCs
  • Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map requirements to the software solution
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps
  • Assist with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
  • Travel 20-50% for customer and internal meetings
