Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Healthcare & Life Sciences Solutions Engineer to join our Solution Engineering & Shared Services team in Washington. This strategic role focuses on understanding the specific needs of healthcare organizations and providing business-driven consulting to both prospective and existing customers. As a seasoned practitioner with deep experience in healthcare environments—across providers, payers, or digital health—you will bring knowledge of clinical workflows, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH), and patient engagement to every interaction.

You will engage throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from pre-sales engineering and technical qualification to solution architecture and post-sale expansion. Your responsibilities include conducting discovery conversations with customers, designing and delivering compelling presentations, generating value statements, scoping implementations, managing pilots and POCs, and responding to RFI/RFP requirements. You will work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps.

As a recognized thought leader, you will confidently support C-level discussions, accelerate deal cycles, and help identify and expand revenue opportunities in healthcare. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to prepare for upcoming meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors and general business challenges
  • Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs and requirements for a new solution
  • Uncover customer pains, learn about customer's objectives and potential needs, gather metrics necessary for pricing and/or value discussions
  • Use in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions and capabilities to specify the appropriate solution(s) for customer needs and requirements
  • Design and deliver presentations to customers, on-site & virtual, showing Talkdesk's capabilities, aligned to the customer's pains and needs
  • Generate simple value statements illustrating the financial value of a Talkdesk solution to customers
  • Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations as needed
  • Scope, execute and manage customer pilots and POCs
  • Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map said requirements to the software solution
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps
  • Assist with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
  • Travel 20–50% for customer and internal meetings
