Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer for Enterprise clients across mixed industries, based in Austin. In this role, you will conduct research and discovery conversations with prospects to understand their business environment, challenges, and requirements. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions to design and deliver compelling presentations that address customer needs, while also assisting with RFI/RFP responses, POCs, and customer implementations. You will work closely with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps, and support marketing and demand generation initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned Solutions Engineer with 5+ years of experience in software, VoIP/telecommunications, or contact center sales, who can communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and command attention through compelling presentations and demonstrations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to prepare for meetings with prospects and understand their business environment, market, customers, and competitors
  • Execute discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs, uncover pain points, and gather information for value discussions
  • Specify appropriate Talkdesk solutions based on customer requirements and continuously learn about new releases and innovations
  • Design and deliver presentations to customers (on-site and virtual) showcasing Talkdesk capabilities aligned to customer needs
  • Generate value statements illustrating the financial value of Talkdesk solutions to customers
  • Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations
  • Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and POCs
  • Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map them to software solutions
  • Work with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps
  • Support marketing and demand generation events as needed
