Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our Enterprise Sales team in Austin. In this role, you will be the technical bridge between our prospects and our innovative Customer Experience Automation solutions. You'll conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, design tailored solutions leveraging Talkdesk's cloud-based contact center capabilities, and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to enterprise clients. You will take ownership of the entire sales cycle from technical evaluation through proof-of-concept, managing pilots and scoping implementations. Working closely with product management and engineering teams, you'll ensure customer feedback shapes our product roadmap. This position requires deep knowledge of contact center software, VoIP/telecommunications, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. With 5+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in software or contact center solutions, bilingual French proficiency, and a proven track record with enterprise customers, you'll be well-positioned to excel in this strategic technical sales role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to understand prospect business environment, market, customers, competitors and challenges
  • Execute discovery conversations to understand customer needs, requirements, and pain points
  • Specify appropriate Talkdesk solutions based on customer requirements
  • Design and deliver on-site and virtual presentations showcasing solution capabilities aligned to customer needs
  • Generate value statements demonstrating financial value of Talkdesk solutions
  • Assist with scoping Statements of Work for customer implementations
  • Scope, execute and manage customer pilots and proof-of-concepts
  • Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map to software solutions
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps
  • Support marketing and demand generation events
