Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our Enterprise team in Minneapolis. In this role, you will conduct in-depth discovery conversations with enterprise customers to understand their business challenges, needs, and objectives. You will leverage your deep knowledge of Talkdesk's cloud-based contact center solutions to design and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations that showcase how our platform addresses customer pain points and drives measurable business value.

You will be responsible for the full customer lifecycle from initial discovery through implementation, including scoping Statements of Work, managing pilots and Proof of Concepts, and responding to RFI/RFP requirements. Working closely with our sales, product, and engineering teams, you will provide critical customer feedback that shapes our product roadmap. This position offers the opportunity to work with leading enterprise brands and impact the future of Customer Experience Automation through AI-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in software, VoIP/telecommunications, or contact center environments, combined with excellent presentation and communication skills. Bilingual French proficiency is required, and knowledge of UCaaS/CCaaS, CRM, ITSM, or web technologies is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research to prepare for meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors, and business challenges
  • Carries out discovery conversations with customers to understand needs and requirements, uncovers customer pain points, and gathers metrics for pricing and value discussions
  • Uses in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions and capabilities to specify appropriate solutions for customer needs and continuously learns about new product innovations
  • Designs and delivers presentations to customers both on-site and virtually, showcasing Talkdesk's capabilities aligned to customer needs
  • Generates value statements illustrating the financial value of Talkdesk solutions to customers
  • Assists with scoping Statements of Work for customer implementations
  • Scopes, executes, and manages customer pilots and Proofs of Concepts
  • Responds to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and maps requirements to software solutions
  • Works closely with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps
  • Assists with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
