Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our Enterprise team in Chicago. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our Customer Experience Automation (CXA) revolution, helping enterprise clients discover and implement cutting-edge AI-first solutions. You'll conduct in-depth discovery conversations with prospects, understand their complex business challenges, and design tailored solutions that drive measurable business value.
You'll be responsible for delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations that showcase Talkdesk's capabilities, managing customer pilots and proofs of concept, and serving as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process. Your expertise in software solutions, cloud technologies, and contact center platforms will be critical as you work closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to ensure customer success and shape our product roadmap through valuable customer feedback.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research and discovery conversations with enterprise prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, and competitive landscape
- Uncover customer pain points, objectives, and potential needs while gathering metrics for pricing and value discussions
- Specify appropriate Talkdesk solutions for customer needs and requirements, staying current with product innovations and releases
- Design and deliver presentations and demonstrations to customers (on-site and virtual) showcasing capabilities aligned to identified customer needs
- Generate value statements illustrating the financial benefits of Talkdesk solutions to customers
- Assist with scoping Statements of Work (SOWs) for customer implementations
- Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and proofs of concept
- Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map requirements to software solutions
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps
- Support marketing and demand generation events as needed
