Talkdesk is seeking an expert Solutions Engineer specializing in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance to join our Solution Engineering & Shared Services team in Charlotte. This role combines deep SaaS expertise with industry-specific knowledge to guide small and medium-sized enterprises through their digital transformation journey. You'll be a trusted advisor throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from pre-sales engineering and technical qualification to solution architecture and post-sale expansion, delivering compelling value propositions aligned to customer needs. In this position, you'll conduct discovery conversations to understand customer pain points and objectives, design and deliver presentations showcasing Talkdesk's AI-powered Contact Center and CX solutions, and generate financial value statements demonstrating ROI. You'll work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to scope solutions, manage customer pilots and POCs, and respond to complex RFI/RFP requirements. Your ability to command attention through compelling presentations, communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences, and confidently support C-level discussions will be critical to accelerating deal cycles and identifying expansion opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned practitioner with 1-3 years of SaaS Solutions Engineering experience and a track record of success selling to SMB and mid-market enterprises. You'll be part of Talkdesk's legacy as a cloud contact center leader recognized by Gartner and Forrester, helping redefine the customer experience for companies globally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to understand prospect business environment, market, customers, competitors and business challenges
  • Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand needs, uncover pain points, and gather metrics for pricing and value discussions
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions to specify appropriate solutions aligned to customer requirements
  • Design and deliver presentations showcasing Talkdesk capabilities aligned to customer pains and needs
  • Generate value statements illustrating financial value of Talkdesk solutions to customers
  • Assist with scoping Statements of Work for customer implementations
  • Scope, execute and manage customer pilots and POCs
  • Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map requirements to software solutions
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps
  • Assist with marketing and demand generation events
