Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer with deep healthcare expertise to serve as a strategic partner for our healthcare and life sciences customers. This role combines technical excellence with healthcare industry knowledge, requiring someone who understands clinical workflows, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH), and patient engagement. You will be a trusted advisor throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from pre-sales discovery and solution architecture to post-sale expansion, working with C-level executives and helping customers achieve their business objectives through our AI-powered Contact Center and CX solutions. In this position, you will conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, design tailored solutions leveraging Talkdesk's capabilities, and deliver compelling presentations demonstrating clear business value. You will manage customer pilots and POCs, respond to RFI/RFP requirements, and collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams. Your healthcare-specific knowledge will be instrumental in guiding customers through complex regulatory requirements and clinical integrations while accelerating deal cycles and identifying revenue expansion opportunities. With 8+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in software, telecommunications, or contact center environments, combined with proven healthcare industry expertise, you will be recognized as a thought leader capable of commanding executive-level discussions. This role offers the opportunity to shape how leading healthcare organizations leverage cutting-edge AI technology to improve patient engagement and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research to prepare for meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors and business challenges
  • Carries out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs and requirements, uncovering customer pains and gathering metrics for pricing and value discussions
  • Specifies appropriate Talkdesk solutions for customer needs and requirements while staying current with product innovations and new releases
  • Designs and delivers presentations to customers on-site and virtually, showcasing Talkdesk capabilities aligned to customer pains and needs
  • Generates value statements illustrating the financial value of Talkdesk solutions to customers
  • Assists with scoping SOWs for customer implementations
  • Scopes, executes and manages customer pilots and POCs
  • Responds to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and maps requirements to software solutions
  • Works closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps
  • Assists with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
