Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer specializing in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (FSI) to join our Solution Engineering & Shared Services team in Virginia Beach. As an expert in understanding the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, you will provide business-driven consulting to both prospective and existing customers, offering industry-centric expertise that helps establish clear value, differentiation, and trust in our AI-powered Contact Center and Customer Experience solutions. In this role, you will engage throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from pre-sales engineering and technical qualification to solution architecture and post-sale expansion. You will conduct discovery conversations with customers, design and deliver compelling presentations, generate value statements, scope implementations, manage pilots and POCs, and respond to RFI/RFP requirements. As a seasoned SaaS solutions engineer, you will be a recognized thought leader who confidently supports C-level discussions, accelerates deal cycles, and helps identify and expand revenue opportunities in the FSI sector. You will work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback influences product roadmaps, while also assisting with marketing and demand generation events. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of customer experience automation while contributing to a company recognized as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contact Center as a Service.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to prepare for meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors, and business challenges
  • Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs and requirements for new solutions
  • Uncover customer pain points, learn about customer objectives, gather metrics necessary for pricing and value discussions
  • Use in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions to specify appropriate solutions for customer needs and requirements
  • Design and deliver presentations to customers, both on-site and virtual, showcasing Talkdesk capabilities aligned to customer needs
  • Generate value statements illustrating the financial value of Talkdesk solutions
  • Assist with scoping Statements of Work (SOWs) for customer implementations
  • Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and proofs of concept (POCs)
  • Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map requirements to software solutions
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps
  • Assist with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
