Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer specializing in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (FSI) to join our Solution Engineering & Shared Services team in Miami. As an expert in understanding the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, you will provide business-driven consulting to prospective and existing customers, leveraging deep industry expertise to establish clear value and differentiation for our AI-powered Contact Center and CX solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with a global leader in Customer Experience Automation, recognized as a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader and G2 Overall Grid Report winner.
You will engage throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from pre-sales engineering and technical qualification to solution architecture and post-sale expansion. Your responsibilities include conducting discovery conversations, designing compelling presentations aligned to customer needs, generating value statements, managing customer pilots and POCs, and responding to RFI/RFP requirements. You will be a recognized thought leader who confidently supports C-level discussions, accelerates deal cycles, and helps identify and expand revenue opportunities in the FSI sector.
With 8+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in SaaS and a background in selling to Mid-Market and Enterprise customers, you will combine technical expertise with excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll work closely with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps while assisting with marketing and demand generation events.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research to prepare for meetings with prospects and understand their business environment, market, customers, and competitors
- Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs, uncover pains, and gather metrics for pricing and value discussions
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions to specify appropriate solutions for customer needs
- Design and deliver presentations to customers (on-site and virtual) showcasing Talkdesk capabilities aligned to customer needs
- Generate value statements illustrating the financial value of Talkdesk solutions
- Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations
- Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and POCs
- Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map requirements to software solutions
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback into product roadmaps
- Assist with marketing and demand generation events
