Talkdesk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer specializing in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (FSI) to join our Miami-based Solution Engineering & Shared Services team. As an expert in understanding the specific needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, you will provide business-driven consulting to both prospective and existing customers, offering industry-centric expertise that helps our Sales team establish clear value, differentiation, and trust in our AI-powered Contact Center and CX solutions. In this role, you will engage throughout the entire sales lifecycle, from pre-sales engineering and technical qualification to solution architecture and post-sale expansion. You will conduct discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs, design and deliver compelling presentations aligned to customer pain points, generate value statements illustrating financial benefits, and manage customer pilots and POCs. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with product management and engineering teams while supporting C-level discussions and expanding revenue opportunities in the FSI sector. You will be a seasoned practitioner with deep SaaS experience, recognized as a thought leader who can confidently accelerate deal cycles and identify expansion opportunities. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, combined with strong problem-solving skills and presentation excellence, will be essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research to prepare for upcoming meetings with prospects to understand their business environment, market, customers, competitors and general business challenges
- Carry out discovery conversations with customers to understand their needs and requirements for a new solution
- Uncover customer pains, learn about customer's objectives and potential needs, gather metrics necessary for pricing and/or value discussions
- Use in-depth knowledge of Talkdesk solutions and capabilities to specify the appropriate solution(s) for customer needs and requirements
- Design and deliver presentations to customers, on-site & virtual, showing Talkdesk's capabilities aligned to customer's pains and needs
- Generate simple value statements illustrating the financial value of a Talkdesk solution to customers
- Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations as needed
- Scope, execute and manage customer pilots and POCs
- Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map said requirements to the software solution
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps
- Assist with marketing and demand generation events as necessary
