Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Regional Vice President of Sales to lead and manage a strategic Financial Services Industry (FSI) sales team focused on top-tier banks, credit unions, capital markets, insurance companies, and fintech accounts. In this pivotal leadership role, you will coach and mentor Account Executives to drive high-quality pipeline creation, deal execution, and quota attainment within complex FSI buying cycles while owning FSI strategy and planning for customer retention, net-new growth, and expansion across Talkdesk's core solutions including AI-powered contact center, fraud prevention, and customer experience automation. You will translate Talkdesk's FSI business objectives into an executable strategy aligned with broader corporate goals and the evolving financial services regulatory landscape. This position requires actively engaging with executive stakeholders at key accounts, leading strategic sales meetings, and building trusted long-term relationships. You will serve as a brand ambassador for the Talkdesk Financial Services Experience Cloud, champion the company's CX vision in the FSI market, and collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Channel, and Customer Success teams to craft go-to-market campaigns and customer success programs tailored to financial services requirements. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in senior customer-facing leadership roles, 10+ years in sales, and proven success leading teams selling to FSI institutions with deep knowledge of buying cycles, regulatory requirements, and complex procurement processes. You should have excellent people management skills, experience building and scaling world-class teams, and a comprehensive understanding of the Talkdesk solution portfolio and the competitive CCaaS and FSI technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a Strategic FSI sales team of Account Executives focused on the top banks, credit unions, capital markets, insurance, and fintech accounts
- Coach, mentor, and develop sales reps to drive high-quality pipeline creation, deal execution, and quota attainment in complex FSI buying cycles
- Own FSI strategy and planning, ensuring customer retention, net-new growth, and expansion across core Talkdesk solutions
- Use a data-driven approach to territory design, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline development aligned to Talkdesk consumption-based pricing
- Translate Talkdesk's FSI business objectives into an execution strategy, ensuring alignment with broader corporate goals and the evolving financial services regulatory landscape
- Actively engage with executive stakeholders at key accounts; lead strategic sales meetings, attend QBRs, and build trusted long-term relationships
- Serve as a brand ambassador for the Talkdesk Financial Services Experience Cloud, championing the CX vision in the FSI market
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Channel, and Customer Success to craft go-to-market campaigns and customer success programs tailored to financial services requirements
