EDP Renewables is seeking an entry-level Project Development Analyst to join our dynamic renewable energy development team in Portland, Oregon. In this exciting early-career leadership role, you will work at the forefront of utility-scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and battery storage), supporting experienced project managers across multiple initiatives. You will be responsible for identifying and overseeing large-scale project development, creating and maintaining GIS databases, negotiating land agreements, and engaging with landowners and community stakeholders. The position offers tremendous professional growth opportunities within a fast-paced environment where you will handle complex tasks including site identification, permitting coordination, and stakeholder management. You will represent EDP Renewables in the field, conduct market and regulatory research, prepare proposals for power purchasers, and assist with securing critical transmission contracts. Responsibilities
- Identify and oversee development of large-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects using GIS tools
- Create and update project maps and databases
- Represent EDPR in the field, working with Project Managers and landowners to create, negotiate, and amend agreements, options, leases, and land sales
- Engage in community outreach and stakeholder management activities
- Organize and attend educational and networking events
- Conduct land, market, regulatory, and related project research
- Compile documentation, attend meetings, conduct necessary studies, and perform tasks to obtain permits at local, state, and federal levels
- Assist with efforts to secure critical transmission and interconnection contracts from utilities
- Prepare proposals submitted to power purchasers including utilities, community choice aggregators, and commercial & industrial customers
- Support internal reporting and project tracking efforts
