Talkdesk is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our AI engineering team in Seattle. You will design, develop, and deliver cloud-based data foundation systems and AI agent platforms, leveraging cutting-edge AI/ML models, prompt engineering, and data analysis across unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data. This role involves working with technologies such as data mining, business intelligence, and data transformation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, participate in architectural discussions to guide the technology roadmap, and stay current with emerging technologies in AI and data engineering. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver cloud-based data foundation systems and AI agent platforms leveraging AI/ML models, prompt engineering, and data analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable services with assured AI quality
- Participate in architectural discussions, providing technical design and guidance to ensure alignment with overall technology roadmap and adoption of best practices
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment
