Global Energy Management Lead - ERCOT and SPP

EDP Renewables North America is seeking a highly motivated Global Energy Management Lead to drive short- and medium-term asset optimization for its growing ERCOT and SPP renewable energy portfolio. In this role, you will develop and implement power scheduling and hedging strategies to maximize value in wholesale electricity markets while ensuring compliance with risk policies and regulatory requirements. You'll manage day-ahead scheduling, execute power hedges, and procure basis hedges, leveraging advanced analytics to deliver profitable results compared to passive strategies.

You will work at the intersection of energy trading, risk management, and operations, collaborating closely with internal teams and external market participants. Your responsibilities will include monitoring power market trends, developing proprietary trading strategies, and supporting the structuring of short-medium term Power Purchase Agreements.
