Repsol is seeking a Geologist/GeoModeler Intern for a summer position based in The Woodlands, Texas. In this role, you will support experienced geologists and geo-modelers with day-to-day project activities, including data gathering, organization, and quality control of geological and subsurface datasets. You will assist in preparing maps, cross-sections, models, and technical documentation while participating in subsurface interpretation and modeling discussions with cross-functional teams. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry, with opportunities to contribute to presentations, reports, and an assigned internship project that you will present at the conclusion of the program. You will collaborate with professionals from geophysics, engineering, and reservoir disciplines while developing your technical and communication skills. The position runs from May 18 to August 7, with an onsite schedule (Monday-Friday) at our Houston office.
Responsibilities
- Support geologists and geo-modelers with day-to-day project activities
- Assist with data gathering, organization, and quality control of geological and subsurface datasets
- Help prepare maps, cross-sections, models, figures, and supporting technical documentation
- Participate in subsurface interpretation, modeling, and review discussions as appropriate
- Contribute to presentations and reports used for internal project updates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as geophysics, engineering, and reservoir disciplines
- Follow established safety standards, procedures, and company policies
- Complete an assigned internship project and present findings at the conclusion of the program
