At Talkdesk, we are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer II to serve as a high-impact technical leader responsible for translating our Agentic AI platform into transformative, production-grade solutions for strategic enterprise customers. You will be a unique blend of experienced software engineer, technical project lead, and hands-on builder, owning the technical execution for complex deployments, mitigating technical risks, and driving successful customer outcomes across assigned projects. In this role, you will act as the technical lead for complex AI agent deployments, designing architectural blueprints for solutions that meet stringent enterprise standards for security and scale. You'll write production-grade code, leverage Talkdesk and third-party APIs/SDKs to design, build, test, and deploy AI agents, and drive execution from prototype through to production deployment. You'll also serve as a trusted technical expert, addressing deep technical inquiries and building trust with customer Engineering Directors and technical architects. Additionally, you will synthesize deployment learnings into reusable solution patterns, provide actionable feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform future product direction, and mentor junior FDEs and technical specialists on best practices for complex AI architecture and client-facing technical delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for complex deployments and design the architectural blueprint for AI agent solutions
- Manage cross-system dependencies and ensure designs meet stringent enterprise standards for security and scale
- Write production-grade code and leverage Talkdesk and third-party APIs/SDKs to design, build, test, and deploy AI agents
- Drive execution from prototype through to production deployment, ensuring technical quality
- Serve as a trusted technical expert for AI solutions and address deep technical inquiries
- Mitigate technical risk and build trust with customer Engineering Directors and technical architects
- Synthesize and codify deployment learnings into reusable solution patterns and tooling
- Provide actionable feedback to core Product and Engineering teams to inform future product direction
- Mentor junior FDEs and technical specialists on best practices for complex AI architecture and client-facing technical delivery
