Talkdesk is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to drive new business development and close opportunities within large enterprise accounts in the Financial Services industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process, fostering strategic relationships with business units and divisions, and developing comprehensive sales strategies that ensure consistent achievement of objectives. You'll work with Sales Engineers, Professional Services, and executive leadership to bring innovative solutions that showcase Talkdesk's competitive advantage in the rapidly evolving customer experience automation space.
This position requires a seasoned sales professional with 8+ years of direct outside sales experience, preferably in SaaS enterprise software solutions. You'll need proven expertise in complex, solution-based selling to C-suite and senior management, strong business acumen, and the ability to manage strategic value-based negotiations. The role involves 50%+ travel and requires comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment while maintaining focus on quota achievement and revenue growth.

Responsibilities
- Drive new business development within large enterprise accounts and close opportunities within the Finance industry
- Foster and expand company relationships with business units, divisions, and overall enterprise customers
- Create and cultivate close relationships with strategic alliances
- Understand customers' business strategy and direction and manage a long-term, sustainable business portfolio
- Manage the end-to-end sales process through engagement of Sales Engineers, Professional Services, Executives, and Partners
- Bring innovative ideas that showcase Talkdesk's competitive advantage and disruptive mindset
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue/quota through management and execution of the Talkdesk sales process
- Develop comprehensive sales strategy and sales plans ensuring consistent achievement of objectives over short- and long-term
- Build lasting, meaningful relationships with management, team, and prospect/customer community
- Build and align with Talkdesk sales Go-to-Market plan to develop accountability for region's market segmentation and targeted accounts
- Develop essential internal relationships to provide support necessary to manage accounts and close deals
- Communicate accurate and realistic forecast information to management per process and policy
- Communicate market reaction and needs back to headquarters in a productive manner
- Take active role in solving problems involving other functional areas
- Prioritize customer needs so engineering and other functional areas can focus on right tasks and issues
