Software Engineer - Data Orchestration

Feedzai is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Data Orchestration team in Sydney. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the team developing Feedzai's Orchestration product, which handles large-volume data from diverse sources, data transformation, and integration of external and internal data providers. The product is used by Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Data Scientists, with the primary use case being Account Opening solutions for financial institutions. You will work within an Agile squad environment, developing idiomatic Scala microservices covered by comprehensive tests while delivering end-to-end solutions across the full stack. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to build distributed systems operating 24/7 with ultra-low latencies, champion engineering excellence through documentation and mentoring, and operate with a "you build it, you run it" DevOps mindset focused on automation, observability, and continuous delivery. Feedzai operates in a fast-paced, safe, and collaborative environment that encourages experimentation and continuous learning. You'll work on technically challenging problems spanning distributed systems, data orchestration, microservice architecture, and cloud-native solutions while helping financial institutions protect against fraud, identity theft, and synthetic identity risks.

Responsabilidades

• Iterate within an Agile squad to turn product ideas into shippable increments across the entire stack
• Write idiomatic, reusable Scala covered by unit, property-based and integration tests; uphold quality through rigorous code reviews
• Deliver end-to-end solutions from building APIs to touching frontend components
• Operate across the full SDLC—design, implement, test, deploy, observe, maintain and refine software services
• Collaborate tightly with Product & Design to translate UX wire-frames into accessible, performant interfaces
• Champion engineering excellence by documenting decisions, sharing knowledge in guild sessions and mentoring peers
• Develop high-performance, concurrent services and APIs
• Work with modern data & messaging platforms at scale
