Senior Project Engineer

Repsol seeks a skilled Senior Project Engineer to serve as the primary technical liaison among Repsol, vendors, and the internal project team. You will coordinate with EPC contractors, owners' engineers, and internal teams to ensure timely and successful completion of project deliverables across civil, structural, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical systems, while maintaining budget, schedule, and scope integrity. In this hybrid role based in Downtown Houston, Texas, you will collaborate with the Project Manager to develop execution strategies that meet or exceed project objectives. Your responsibilities will include preparing RFQs, reviewing vendor quotes, developing technical bid evaluations, facilitating design criteria and specifications, and reviewing design deliverables for compliance with company requirements and industry standards. You will provide comprehensive technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and design phases through construction and commissioning. This includes conducting electrical studies, PV performance calculations, SCADA design reviews, and monitoring critical paths to ensure project success.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the project team to develop objectives by reviewing proposals and schedules
• Prepare RFQs, review vendor quotes, and develop technical bid evaluations with clarifications aligned with Repsol's requirements
• Facilitate preparation of design criteria, specifications, datasheets, one-line diagrams, and schematics for electrical equipment
• Provide technical input for engineering and design deliverables, coordinating production across disciplines
• Review design deliverables to ensure compliance with company requirements, specifications, and industry standards
• Facilitate review of civil and structural plans, including geotechnical reports, hydrology, and pile designs
• Oversee review of SCADA designs to meet ISO and PPS requirements
• Conduct and review PV performance calculations using PVSyst and SAM
• Facilitate electrical studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, device coordination, harmonic, and cable ampacity analyses
• Identify and document project action items, ensuring timely resolution
• Monitor critical paths and address progress-limiting factors with corrective actions
• Prepare engineering status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases
• Travel to job sites as required
