Strategy & Strategic Investments Associate

BNP Paribas is seeking a Strategy & Strategic Investments Associate to join their Global Markets division in Lisbon. As part of the Strategy and Strategic Investments team, you will serve as a strategic thought partner and advisor to senior management, helping to guide and support the management of activities across Global Markets and General Management. The team is responsible for leading and managing equity investments in companies within Global Markets, with offices located in London, New York, Hong Kong, Paris, and Lisbon.

In this role, you will analyze competitive benchmarking for Global Markets to understand industry landscapes, upcoming trend shifts, and competitors' business evolution. You will support the preparation of in-depth analysis on business performance across products, regions, and clients, while assisting senior team members with strategic projects, presentations to management and regulators, and consolidation of regular activity updates. This is a permanent position based in Lisbon with hybrid working arrangements, offering the opportunity to work with a leading European banking institution.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a similar field, with at least 3 years of experience in banking, consulting, finance, or business management. You must be fluent in English and proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical skills, the ability to work with complex datasets, and excellent presentation abilities are essential, along with a methodical approach and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
