Yazaki, a leading global automotive supplier founded in 1929, is seeking a Senior Active Directory Engineer to join our team at the Ovar Plant in Portugal. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support and implementation services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across our enterprise, managing directory and identity solutions while ensuring global system security and policy configuration. You will serve as a technical expert and escalation point for complex enterprise-wide initiatives, including root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and strategic infrastructure improvements.

Your responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of Active Directory management: installation, configuration, and maintenance of AD systems and third-party utilities; monitoring system integrity and availability; owning RCA and problem management for the enterprise landscape; and collaborating with project and support teams on global initiatives. You will also create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, improve existing processes through innovative solutions, provide technical training, and participate in project teams and post-implementation reviews. This position requires deep expertise in Active Directory, AD FS, Windows Server, Azure AD/Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and related Microsoft technologies.

Responsabilidades

  • Install, configure, and maintain Active Directory and third-party utilities supporting Active Directory within company operational guidelines
  • Represent enterprise-level Active Directory for global initiatives and follow the initiatives through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, extend, and enhance service delivery
  • Own root cause analysis and problem management for enterprise Active Directory landscape
  • Serve as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provide guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
  • Review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs
  • Follow the change management process for any improvement or implementation change requests
  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting steps
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions
  • Provide training as required
  • Participate in post-implementation review
  • Participate on department project teams and forums
