Quantitative Research Graduates' Programme 2026

BNP Paribas is recruiting recent graduates for an exciting Quantitative Research Graduates' Programme 2026, starting on 17 August 2026. This is a permanent contract opportunity based in Lisbon within the Global Markets Front Office Business Area. During the first 12 months, you will complete professional development assignments across two different teams within the same Business Area, beginning with a 6-month rotation in the QR Team Architecture Team, followed by a 3-month rotation in the LAB Data Science.

The Quantitative Research Team is responsible for researching and implementing innovative financial models and tools for Global Markets, working closely with Trading and Risk teams on portfolio valuation and risk management. In this role, you will maintain and enhance pricing libraries, continuously improve existing models, design and implement new models based on business requirements, perform quantitative engineering to support trading operations, and provide support to Trading, Sales, IT and Operations teams.

You should hold a Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Physics or Engineering, with experience in programming and knowledge of Financial Mathematics or Stochastic Calculus. A research mindset, excellent English fluency, and availability for a 3-week trip to London starting 24 August are required. Maximum 2 years of working experience (including internships) is permitted.
