Prime Risk Management Analyst

Within Prime Services, our Risk Management team plays a critical role in managing portfolio risk and determining the amount of leverage we can offer clients. We work closely with other areas within the business, including sales, securities lending, and client management, as well as with transversal teams such as Credit Risk Management and Exposure Management Group. Our team in Lisbon provides critical support to the desk in managing client financing risk for the business.

Your main activities include assessing and reviewing portfolio risk, identifying changes in client strategies and asset mixes to determine if margining methodologies need updates, conducting scenario analysis to assess the impact of changes in client portfolios, cost of funding, business mix, interest rates, and currency mix on risk and pricing. You will analyze and report on major swings in client portfolios, escalating concerns to management, assist in developing margin and pricing proposals for new and existing clients, and develop automation tools to monitor and analyze client performance metrics across various dimensions.

You will generate accurate risk summaries at the position, client account, regional and global levels and manage and execute ad hoc projects for the desks. This role requires fluency in English, excellent communication skills, strong Excel proficiency (with experience in VBA and SQL), Python knowledge, and the ability to work flexible/late hours aligned with a New York-based schedule.
