BNP Paribas is recruiting a Macro Quant & Derivatives Strategy Graduate to join the Global Markets Front Office Business Area, starting on 17 August 2026. This is a permanent position offering an exciting entry into banking and finance. During the first 6 months, you will complete different professional development assignments across 2 different teams within the same Business Area, allowing you to gain broad exposure to the organization.

The Macro Quant & Derivatives Strategy team is part of Markets 360 and focuses on quantitative and evidence-based research on macroeconomics and major asset classes. You will work alongside macro quant analysts and strategists to develop and maintain models and processes that generate trade ideas and market analysis for thematic publications. The team is client-facing and collaborates closely with sales, trading, structuring, and other quantitative research teams. In this role, you will develop leading quant indicators, apply mathematical and statistical techniques to financial data, maintain and update models, and work on digitalization and automation initiatives.

You will need a Master's degree in a numeric subject (such as Economics with Econometrics specialization, Finance, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics) and strong Python programming skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates solid analytical skills, attention to detail, autonomy, proactiveness, critical thinking, and fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop leading quant indicators for asset prices and economic variables
  • Review academic research to identify new modelling approaches
  • Maintain existing libraries and develop new modules
  • Run data analytics
  • Explore use of new data science techniques
  • Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to economic and financial market data
  • Produce pattern recognition, relationship identification and time-series model projections
  • Maintain and update models, including creating visual representations of outputs
  • Compile dashboards, presentations and publications
  • Work with other teams for the improvement of digitalization, automation and distribution of contents
