Farfetch, a leading global luxury fashion marketplace, is seeking an Interim People Business Partner to provide strategic HR support to the Commercial & Browns Fashion business unit. Based in the London office (Old Street, tech hub), you will work alongside other People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Partners, partnering closely with regional PBPs, senior functional leaders, and Centres of Excellence to develop and deliver impactful people initiatives. This role is fundamental to driving organisational effectiveness, talent development, and high-performance culture across global teams. In this 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract, you will shape people strategy, manage complex employee relations cases, lead workforce planning and organisational design, and collaborate on talent development initiatives. You'll use data-driven insights to influence senior stakeholders on business-critical decisions, support performance management and leadership development, and foster a collaborative approach to talent and workforce planning across regions. The ideal candidate brings proven HR generalist experience at business partner level, exceptional relationship-building skills, in-depth knowledge of UK employment law, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with strong business acumen. You should be a strategic thinker comfortable executing detailed tasks, adept at communicating with diverse audiences in a trusted advisor style, and ideally have experience working with Commercial teams and retail employees. Start date: March 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior functional leaders and regional teams to develop and deliver impactful people initiatives aligned with business goals and budgets
  • Shape and execute a forward-thinking People strategy that fosters organisational change, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Build strong cross-regional relationships with People Partners, fostering a collaborative approach to talent and workforce planning
  • Support a high-performance culture through performance management, coaching, and leadership development
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, mediation and conflict resolution in line with company values and policies
  • Lead workforce planning and organisational design efforts to ensure scalable, effective structures and capabilities
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence to implement talent and succession planning strategies
  • Monitor organisational health metrics, proactively addressing issues and opportunities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of People policies, processes, and programmes
  • Use data and insights to influence leadership decisions and measure People initiatives' success
  • Partner with Talent Management and other People functions to support talent development initiatives
  • Partner with Reward to uphold total compensation approach and collaborate on initiatives that enhance fairness and competitiveness
