Join Vodafone's Group Commercial Finance team for a unique 12-month project placement as a Commercial Finance Manager. You will play a pivotal role in the Group Services Commercialisation programme (PXQ), transforming structured operations into product-focused business units that drive internal and external value. This is an exceptional opportunity for a high-calibre finance professional to make a lasting impact on how Vodafone manages its financial operations. Your responsibilities will span the complete commercialisation lifecycle: defining service catalogues, formulating end-to-end cost bases through forensic analysis, conducting deep-dive cost reviews, developing commercial pricing models, and performing benchmark analysis against market alternatives. You will deploy advanced financial modelling skills to create pricing models compatible with open market dynamics and transfer pricing principles, while ensuring operationalisation from theory to practice through parallel running and full go-live scheduled for April 1st, 2026. You will leave a lasting legacy by fundamentally rethinking Vodafone's financial management systems—from budgeting and fiscal control to reporting and product performance. This transformation programme requires exceptional organisational skills, outstanding Excel proficiency, technical financial modelling expertise, and the ability to collaborate across a complex matrix organisation with stakeholders from Tax, Reporting, Legal, Commercial, Technology, and HR.
Responsibilities
- Support commercial product leads in the productization of existing Group services
- Drive the mindset shift from a Group Cost Centre culture towards genuine business owner and supplier of products and services
- Apply forensic analytical skills to decipher fully loaded costs for assigned products
- Conduct cost base deep dives to ensure rigorous understanding of all cost components
- Deploy technical financial modelling skills to formulate pricing models
- Collaborate with commercial teams to identify real market alternatives and conduct benchmark analysis
- Drive critical advancements in core financial tooling for budgeting, fiscal control, reporting and product performance
- Manage the parallel run against traditional Group-to-OPCO recharge methodologies from October 2025
- Take full ownership of assigned products with a relentless drive to problem solve and ensure smooth transition during full go-live on April 1st, 2026
