Expert Software Engineer - Data Orchestration

Feedzai is seeking an Expert Software Engineer to lead the development of its Data Orchestration product, a cutting-edge SaaS solution for financial institutions. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and vision while combining hands-on development with strategic planning. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining a highly efficient, scalable data orchestration platform that handles large volumes of diverse data sources, working with technologies like Scala, Snowflake, Redshift, and Airflow. Your primary focus will be technical management—providing architectural vision, ensuring product quality standards, and mentoring engineers across the organization. You'll work cross-functionally with Product Management, Data Science, Customer Success, and Security teams to shape technical direction and drive the evolution toward a decoupled, microservice-based, cloud-native architecture. The Data Orchestration product primarily serves the Account Opening use case, enabling financial institutions to safely onboard new clients while protecting against identity theft, synthetic identities, and mule accounts. You will foster a "you build it, you run it" DevOps culture emphasizing automation, observability, and operational excellence. Your mission is to deliver the technical leadership necessary to create an efficient, high-quality, and scalable product while developing strong engineering teams and promoting sound methodologies across Feedzai's engineering organization.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership and vision for the Data Orchestration product line, combining hands-on development with experimentation and prototyping
• Ensure long-term architectural integrity while driving tactical improvements with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and developers
• Lead cross-cutting engineering initiatives and uphold Feedzai's product quality standards
• Act as mentor to other technical roles and promote sound methodologies across teams
• Partner with cross-functional teams during planning, addressing risks, designs, and estimates
• Align with Customer Success, Security, Sales, and Marketing to shape technical direction
• Support the hiring process by shaping technical evaluation standards and mentoring engineers to become strong technical interviewers
• Foster a DevOps mindset emphasizing automation, observability, and operational excellence
• Drive the evolution toward a decoupled, microservice-based, cloud-native architecture
